Knoxville got its first wins in the Little Hawkeye Conference last night by sweeping South Tama in a double header. The first game was all panthers 13-3 as Jessica Stickel earned the win. It was a little tougher in the second game as Kelsey Kingery earned the win, but Knoxville found itself trailing early and it was not until the sixth innings when Eighth Grader Bailey Nichols scored on an overthrow to put Knoxville up for good 2-1. The Panthers would erupt for five more runs and settle for a 7-2 win. With the wins Knoxville improves to 7-9 on the season and 2-3 in conference play. Knoxville travels to Winterset tonight.
