It’s a rare, two-day break from competition to start the week for the Pella Christian girls, who are coming off of a split at a tournament in Oskaloosa this past weekend. The Lady Eagles have no games scheduled for tonight or tomorrow, something that doesn’t happen often in high school softball.
Pella Christian co-Head Coach Kevin Van Wyk says the time away from competition should provide his team with valuable practice time and will hopefully give the girls a good mid-season re-charge. The Lady Eagles are 11-6 overall and 6-2 in Little Hawkeye Conference play, going into Wednesday’s home game against Knoxville.
