The Knoxville Police Department arrested former Marysville mayor Sherri Pettyjohn Thursday for prohibited acts – prescription fraud. 43 year-old Pettyjohn received a 10 year suspended prison sentence in June of 2009 when she pled guilty to similar charges after being arrested in January for pursuing reports of false prescriptions being given at multiple pharmacies. 2009 court documents report that she was placed on probation for up to three years and forced to pay a $1,000 fine plus court costs.
