With the post season now less than two weeks away starting July 10th, Pella Christian baseball will have plenty of chances to make the necessary improvements for a post season run with several big games in the next two weeks including two and a half games with defending state champions Norwalk, as well as games with Knoxville and Pella.

Today the Eagles will finish a doubleheader at home vs Norwalk that was rained out earlier, then travel to Norwalk to face the Warriors again in a single varsity game Thursday night. Tomorrow they host Grandview Park Baptist in non conference action, Wednesday they host Knoxville, and Friday they host Oskaloosa in a varsity doubleheader.

Also there have been some changes made to the schedule for next week . On Monday July 5th they will host Newton in a JV/Varsity doubleheader starting at 3pm in a game originally scheduled to be at Newton, Tuesday July 6th they will finish a varsity doubleheader at Grinnell starting at 5:30pm, and on Thursday July 8th they will play a JV/Varsity game vs Grinnell at Pella Christian starting at 5:30pm. Coach Brad Rolffs says it puts them in a tough situation because they are in position to contend for a LHC title, however, they also need to keep their top pitchers healthy for the post season. The Eagles are 14-5 overall on the season and 7-2 in the LHC.
