They say the game of softball is a lot like life. If you do not have success one day…it is bound to turn around the next. That’s what Knoxville found itself in at the Bobcat Classic in Marshalltown Saturday. After losing both contests on Friday afternoon, the Panthers faced a crack-of-dawn first pitch of 9:00 in game one against South Hardin. The Panthers were the ones awake as they crushed the Tigers 11-0. Jessica Stickel who has been outstanding in the circle all season pitched her first career no-hitter. The second game with Roland-Story was much tougher but Knoxville took out the Lady Norse 7-6 in the final inning of play. With the two wins Knoxville completes a 2-2 weekend at Marshalltown, and improves its record to 10-13 on the season. The Panthers now have 4 games this week starting today at Oskaloosa and tomorrow night against Chariton. Wednesday the Panthers host Norwalk and Thursday they travel to Pella.
