The Marion County Sheriff’s Office reports that the Martin Marietta New Harvey Sand Plant at the Des Moines River and Highway 92 has been temporarily closed as a precaution due to water over its driveway.  Sand has been transported to the Martin Marietta Durham Mine site north of 92 on T17 and can be obtained by the public at that location as needed.
