Lieutenant Governor Patty Judge will be in Knoxville today to present the Small Communities Water Infrastructure I-JOBS Funds to the city. As previously reported, Knoxville was chosen as one of 71 small communities in the state to receive $980,000 for the construction of a new water detention basin at the wastewater treatment plant. The expanded basin will be used to handle the additional inflow from the city’s two relief sewer projects. The event featuring Lieutenant Governor Judge will be held in the meeting room on the second floor of the Knoxville Public library at 1:30pm.
