The latest forecast for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers anticipates Lake Red Rock to crest at a higher point than previously anticipated, but not until next week. Following a peak in-flow of roughly 74,000 cubic feet per second on Tuesday, another surge of up to 70,000 cubic feet per second is expected this weekend.

The increased in-flow at the reservoir could push the lake’s elevation to 776 feet by early next week. As of Thursday morning, the water elevation at Lake Red Rock was near 774 feet, and expected to increase nearly a foot by Friday. Out-flow at the Red Rock Dam is also expected to increase slightly, back to 50,000 cubic feet per second.
