The Knoxville School Board discussed what they considered this year’s legislative action priorities at their most recent meeting. Each year the Iowa Association of School Boards asks its member schools for input regarding legislative priorities for the coming year and they then take that message to our state lawmakers. The two main concerns in Knoxville are that of adequate funding for programs and timelines for collective bargaining. The board then takes the top five priorities, ranks them in order and submits them to IASB.
