A Knoxville couple is hosting an event at their farm to discuss their experiences in beginning a pasture-based livestock farm. Ethan and Rebecca Book own Crooked Gap Farm southwest of Knoxville. Their farmland recently came off the Conservation Reserve Program and bad never been lived on before they purchased it and now serves as grazing pasture for beef, pork, chickens, an orchard, berry patch and garden. The Books are opening up their doors to share stories of their experiences along with tips about how blogging and social media has helped them market their direct-to-customer farm. The event will take place at Crooked Gap Farm at 1707 80th Ave on Tuesday August 17th from noon to 4pm. The field day is free and open to the public and lunch will be provided upon arrival.
