One area important to the success of any football team that a lot of times gets overshadowed is special teams. That area of the game was a key in Pella’s post season success last season and Coach Jay Mckinstrey says that’s an area they continue to focus on every day. He says a lot of close games can be won or lost on special teams as it develops field position and sets the tone for the game and he wants to make sure they are very strong in that area, and more importantly he wants to make sure the kids understand how important that part of the game is to their overall success.
