Because of rain that had fallen in Marion County by late afternoon yesterday and predicted rain to come later on the football scrimmage at Knoxville was cancelled. Knoxville was scheduled to take the field and give the fans a preview of what the team has. If you purchased a meal ticket for last night, you can redeem that ticket at a future home football game. While the scrimmage was cancelled the Panthers can now turn their attention to preparing for their season opening game with P-C-M. Coach Troy Rider says the senior leadership is something he has been most pleased with. Speaking of seniors and their leadership the first Knoxville Panther Pillar Football Club player has been selected and it is senior Austin Houser. Houser has also been honored by being allowed to wear jersey number 39 this season. That was the number Ken Locke wore during his high school playing days. Knoxville will host P-C-M next Friday at Ken Locke Stadium.
