Did you know every 3rd bite of food you consume is thanks to pollination by little buzzing creatures we call bees? One local beekeeper is hosting a field day Saturday to educate the public about the importance of bees in our environment and show first time beekeepers how to get ready for the cooler seasons. There will be demonstrations to help people get comfortable around bees and show what it takes to extract the fresh honey. The beekeepers field day is open to the public and will take place at Craig Greene’s residence at 1554 135th Place Saturday at 1:30pm.
