Three organizations have worked together to make a machine that could possibly save a lot of lives and create a lot of jobs worldwide. Vermeer Charitable Foundation, Partners Incorporated and Dynabloc have all come up with a machine that makes compressed earth blocks. Terry Butler of Vermeer Corporation says they’re stronger than cement and will hold up in seismic zones. The earth block machine is sold commercially at $21,400 dollars but it will sell it at cost to micro-businesses. Butler says their focus with this product is to create jobs and alleviate poverty.
