The body of 25 year-old Jesse Tate of Melcher-Dallas was recovered yesterday afternoon in Williamson Pond in Lucas County. Officials on the scene tell KNIA/KRLS news four individuals were fishing on the pond around 12:30am yesterday when their boat capsized. Three of the four made their way to shore safely but Tate was missing until just before 12:30 yesterday afternoon when his body was found by divers in the pond.

The Iowa Department of Natural Resources, Chariton Fire Department, Lucas County Sheriff, Chariton Divers, Appanoose County Dive Team, Williamson Fire and EMS, Russell Fire and EMS, Columbia Fire and Rescue and other area first responders are assisted at the scene.
