The Iowa Office of Energy Inpendance has notified Central College of approval of a State Energy Program Grant of $250,000. The grant was given to the college to assist its Technology Demonstration Category Project in The Roe Center, Centrals newest academic building. The award that they received was authorized by the Iowa State Energy Program and completely funded the project. The Roe Center houses three of Centrals academic departments and helped the college receive its first platinum Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design rating.
