Pella Christian will make the long nearly three hour road trip to Clarinda tonight for a first ever meeting with the Cardinals.
Clarinda is 2-1 on the season with wins over Red Oak in week one and Clarke Osceola last week and a big 63-0 loss to Logan Magnolia in week two. The Cardinals have only gained a total of 339 yards in three games which is an average of just 113 per game and most of that is on the ground as they’ve only completed 9 of 38 passes so far.
Pella Christian meanwhile is hoping to bounce back from a loss last week to Bondurant Farrar where they just didn’t execute well on defense. The Eagles are a more balanced run/pass team and after struggling last week through the air they hope to see improvements in that part of their game as well as much better tackling on defense this week.
You can hear live coverage with Eric Gotschall and Nate Van Wyk on 92.1 FM KRLS starting with the pre game at 6:30pm and kickoff at 7pm. It will also be streamed live on kniakrls.com
