Two area rivals will go head to head tonight when Pella Christian travels to PCM and one of the two will see their win streak come to an end.

After an 0-2 start PCM has won their last three games convincingly while Pella Christian is also coming off back to back impressive victories. Pella Christian coach Rich Kacmarynski says the two teams know each other well and the rivalry has stepped up a notch now that it’s a district game, however he feels the Eagles are ready to finally get a win over the Mustangs after three straight losses.

The last couple games the Eagles offense has been clicking on all cylinders scoring 97 points while allowing just eight and Coach Kac says their depth is a major factor in that.

PCM is 3-0 in district play tied with Bondurant Farrar for the district lead while Pella Christian is a game back at 2-1 with their lone loss coming to Bondurant Farrar. The Mustangs and Bluejays still have to face each other, so that means tonight’s game will weigh heavily on the district outcome. A win for Pella Christian keeps them in the hunt for a possible district title, however a loss more than likely would eliminate their title hopes.

You can hear tonight’s game with Eric Gotschall and Larry Hessing streaming live on kniakrls.com starting with pre game coverage at 7pm. There will also be a delayed broadcast at 10:30pm on 92.1 FM KRLS
