With fire prevention week coming up next week, Pella Corporation has issued a challenge to team members and the public to be prepared if there was a house fire. The U.S. Fire Administration says that the biggest key is to replace the 9 volt battery in your smoke detector and even replace your smoke detector every 8-10 years. Other important things that families need to remember is to have an escape route planned and to schedule random fire drills to make sure everyone in the household knows the procedure.
