Time is running out for Marion County residents to register with FEMA and apply for assistance after this year’s wet and stormy summer. The Mobile Disaster Recovery Center continues to be available to Marion and neighboring county residents to stop by and speak one-on-one with FEMA experts and Smalls Business Administration professions to talk about low-interest loans. So far, residents from more than 180 Marion County homes have visited the local disaster recovery center and FEMA has approved more than $560,000 for county homeowners and renters. The deadline to register with FEMA is October 13th and the Marion County Mobile Disaster Recover Center is located at 2003 North Lincoln Street in Knoxville.
