Knoxville football fans likely noticed Austin Houser was back on the field Friday night against Newton. Houser caught three passes for 31 yards and played much of the second half at free safety after Dylan Crouse went out with an injury. Coach Troy Rider says after finding out what direction his Houser’s foot injury was going they knew where and how much to play him. Rider adds Houser is a game changer whenever he is on the field. Houser was able to kickoff on Friday night. Knoxville hopes to use Houser a little more this Friday as the Panthers take on Saydel.
