Going into the season, Knoxville was unsure of how the kicking game would be. As a famous television sports announcer always says “You must be sound in the kicking game,” to be a successful football team. The Panthers have seen Ty Dunkin develop in not only one of the top punters in Class 3A District eight, but one of the top punters in the area. On top of that, Dylan Schrader has stepped up to have one of the greatest seasons kicking field goals for the Panthers. He already has written his name into the record book with a 42 yard field goal this past Friday. Coach Troy Rider says Schrader has stepped up big in the kicking game. Schrader is close to breaking another kicking record this season. With his next field goal he would tie Tim Sloan’s record of seven in a career that has stood since the 1976 season. He currently is perfect in 13 extra point attempts.
