A big part of Pella Christian’s success this season has been their running game, however , lately the Eagles passing game has become just as much of a threat.

In Friday’s win over Colfax Mingo, quarterback Kyle Nikkel had one of the best games of his career connecting on 16-24 passes for 230 yards and four touchdowns . Coach Rich Kacmarynski said Nikkel was smart and precise with his throws, but credited the offensive line for giving him time all night.

Kac says their run game continues to get stronger every week, and with the pass game finally clicking they have become a very tough football team to defend which will pay dividends come post season. The Eagles make the long road trip to Shenendoah this week and will be the heavy favorites as Shenendoah is the bottom team in the district.
