P-C-M gained more confidence and likely sent a message to future opponents that running the ball against the Mustangs is not going to be easy. P-C-M shut out I-35 Friday night 21-0 and shut down the Roadrunners rushing attack that has gained nearly 2,000 yards this season. Coach Dar Dahms says the improved defensive play started after the Mustangs loss to Pella Christian where they allowed 49 unanswered points after jumping on top 14/nothing. Dahms says Shawn O’Conner had 20 tackles to lead the defense. Dahms says if the defense is on the offense can also make plays by getting in good field position. P-C-M will try to finish with more momentum heading into the playoffs as the Mustangs host Bondurant-Farrar this Friday.
