If Knoxville was going to go down to Chariton last night, it was not going to be quietly. The Panthers stayed with the Chargers in the first two games and even had the lead late only to see Chariton steal both games and eventually close out the Panthers in three games 25/20, 25/22, and 25/11. Knoxville’s plan was to serve a little more aggressively than usual knowing that Chariton was going to have trouble getting to ball to its big hitter Tana Seuferer. The problem was Seuferer’s teammate Tracy Jeans stepped up when Seuferer was not in the front row and hammered down eight kills. Knoxville Coach Lindsey Anderson was the plan was working Jeans complicated things. Knoxville was led at the net by by Alex Abens with six kills while Jessica Jones was 11/11 serving with an ace and Donae Hedlund’s two of her four successful serves went for aces. Knoxville finishes up 2-35 on the season.
