Three teams and four individuals will run at the State Cross Country Meet today at Lakeside Municipal Golf Course in Fort Dodge. The Knoxville boys are going for the gold this season. From the start, coach Mike Moats has said the goal was to not only bring back a trophy, but the first place hardware. Meanwhile girl’s runner Alissa VanKlootwyk will run as an individual. Moats says while she normally gets off to slow starts…Alissa has done a better job this season of making back into a good finish. The day begins with the four-A teams going at 11. Class 3A boys will run at noon, while VanKlootwyk will run at 12:30.., class 2A girls get the starter’s pistol at one and the class 1A boys go at 1:30.
