The saying offense wins games and defense wins championships was never more evident at P-C-M than this season. While the offense generated yards and points, the defense at times this season was one of the stingiest defenses in the area. Coach Dar Darms says on three occasions, against Clarinda, I-35, and Bondurant-Farrar his team held its opponent to either zero points or less than 100 yards total offense. Dahms says it took a few weeks to get everybody on the same page with a slightly new defensive scheme. Dahms adds next season Defensive Coordinator James Noland will have an entire offseason to work with the defense.
