The final Third Thursday Series of Sprint Car 101 will be held tonight at the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame and Museum. Tonight is a salute to Mike Brooks who was a car owner in and 1980s and 90s at Knoxville and around the Midwest. Brooks was Knoxville Raceway’s track champion in 1980, and was an owner of many 360 sprint cars and a USAC Silver Crown car in the 1990s. Brooks will also share stories of his racing days and the days of his trucking companies. The Third Thursday Series begins at seven tonight and will take place on the second floor of the Hall of Fame and is free and open to the public.
