For the first time in four years Knoxville and P-C-M will meet on the basketball court tonight. The two schools are just 14 miles apart but have been separated from each other on the schedule recently due to conference commitments and just not having an open date to play. Knoxville Coach Jim Utiermarkt says P-C-M will be good all the way around. P-C-M Coach Ben Anderson is glad to have this game back on the schedule because of the close proximity of the schools. On the boys side, Knoxville Coach Clint Driftmeier know Scott Bruxvoort is the key to P-C-M’s success, however he knows the Mustangs have other players that need monitoring. P-C-M Coach Fred Lorensen says the rivalry between the two schools has grown through the years. Knoxville boys and girls beat Albia last night to open the season, while P-C-M pulled off the sweep over Grandview Park Baptist. You can hear the play-by-play on AM 1320 KNIA starting at six, or streamed live on kniakrls.com.
