The National Weather Service has allowed the Blizzard Warning expire.

The Iowa Department of Transportation reports that area roadways are partially covered and slick. High winds and blowing snow is making travel difficult.

The Marion County Sheriff’s Office reports that a number of accidents occurred over the early morning hours as a result of the blizzard conditions.

The Marion County Engineers Office reports that plows and maintainers will be working on roadways throughout the day, but that blowing snow is making clearing area roadways difficult.

Please give our first responders and road crews plenty of room as you travel this morning and throughout the day.
