While the winter weather forced all the evening basketball games to be called off, the Oskaloosa Wrestling Duals went on as scheduled and while short-handed for the second straight Saturday, came away with a 3-2 record. Knoxville’s victories were 49-24 over Johnston, 46-36 over Ottumwa, and 43-35 over Waterloo West. The Panthers fell to state and national powers in their two losses 56-15 to Ballard, and 65-8 to Des Moines Roosevelt. Jay Fresh went 5-0 on the day wrestling most at the 112 pound weight class. James Stitsworth went 3-2 on the day at 119 pounds, Kieran Robuck was 4-1 at 125 pounds, Lane Colwell went 4-1 at 140 pounds, Dylan Crouse went 3-2 at 152 pounds. Coach Eric Whitcome said the younger guys again stepped up while shorthanded. Knoxville gets ready to face arch-rival Pella this Thursday at Knoxville High School.
