Now that all of our area basketball teams have completed the 2010 portion of the season, the coaches and players can look back and for some take a deep breath and exhale at the busy start to the season. For the Knoxville girls it started off slowly in more ways than one. The Panthers played two games in three days to start the season but then had eight days between their games with P-C-M and their meeting with Pella. That started a span of six games in ten days ending earlier this week with a win over Chariton. Knoxville is 2-6 on the season something that Coach Jim Utiermarkt and the team is not used to being this far below 500. He says still the goal is to get better and have a winning season. Knoxville should feel right at home to start the second half of the season as the Panthers play four of their first six games at home. Knoxville opens up the second half of the season hosting Grinnell January fourth.
