In late November, the Pella Chamber of Commerce teamed up with Marion County Bank to offer Pella Bucks at a discounted price. The discount was 10% off for the first $100,000 sold. Director of the Pella Chamber of Commerce Karen Eischen tells KNIA/KRLS News that $100,000 worth of Pella Bucks were sold in three days. Eischen adds that the discounted Pella Bucks are good for three months from the date of purchase. Steve Kraayenbrink, President and CEO of Marion County Bank believes that the promotion succeeded quite well in helping keep Pella dollars in Pella over the holiday season.
