The Knoxville High School basketball teams are gearing up for this year’s third annual Coaches vs. Cancer event. This year’s fundraising game will take place on Saturday February 5th during the home boys and girls double header versus Carlisle High School. Last year Knoxville’s Coaches vs. Cancer event raised more $12,000, the most in the entire state of Iowa. Funds for the 2011 fundraiser will be collected through a portion of admissions, concessions profits, pink treat sales, an honor wall, pink airplane toss, donation jars, pink t-shirt sales, a quilt raffle and silent auction. All members of the community are invited to support the Panthers and help raise money for a good cause.
