The Melcher-Dallas Saints used the holiday break to retool and unloaded on conference foe Seymour 77-30 to begin post holiday basketball. Coach Jim Wells and the Saints have an athletic, veteran bunch that can cause many match ups with their size but through the first half of the season they were looking to put together a full four quarter game. They didn’t need all four quarters Tuesday putting up an impressive 73 points through the first three. Melcher-Dallas stands in the middle of the Bluegrass conference race at 2-1 just one game behind conference leader Lamoni. The Saints have a big stretch coming up in the next few weeks including games with I-35, conference leader Lamoni, Diagonal and the Bluegrass conference tournament.
