The Pleasantville boys completed a season sweep of Central Decatur on Tuesday even without a big night from one of their biggest contributors. Trojan leading scorer Bobby Beier suffered an ankle injury prior to the holiday break and is still a little hobbled as the second half of the season begins as evidenced by his four point performance against CD. Coach Tom Wilkins commented that he played Beier more than he might have liked but he did a good job playing within himself and the rest of the team stepped up in support. The Trojans now have a date with perennial Pride of Iowa Conference power Nodaway Valley tonight. Coach Wilkins says the Wolverines are a young but aggressive and athletic team that will look to use the press to speed up the Trojans and try to force mistakes. Coach Wilkins is looking for his guard court to step up and have a big night to give his squad a chance. You can hear the Trojans take on the Wolverines tonight following the girls game live on kniakrls.com.
