The Pleasantville girls basketball team opened up the second half of the year by completing the season sweep of Central Decatur on the hardwood. Coach Trevor Miller’s team used the holiday break to work on defense and shooting. After scrimmaging Knoxville and Sully over break Coach Miller described his team as a little slow starting against the Cardinals on Tuesday. The end result however was an important Pride of Iowa Conference win and a full scoresheet as several players stepped up to help take some of the scoring load off of Konner Gordon. Pleasantville will make the trip to Nodaway Valley tonight for a key Pride of Iowa Conference match up. Coach Miller describes the Wolverines as a small, quick and athletic team that will look to use pressure to throw off the Trojans. You can hear Pleasantville take on Nodaway Valley tonight at 6PM live on kniakrls.com with Zach Ulin on the call.
