The Pleasantville girls basketball team put together a late rally on Friday but unfortunately it started a little too late in the 4th quarter leading to a 48-44 loss to Nodaway Valley on the road. Despite committing 21 turnovers in the game and having a hard time with the Wolverine full court pressure the Trojans hung around trailing by just four at the halftime break. The lead reached nine in the third quarter before Pleasantville embarked on an 8-2 run to pull within three. The Wolverines went on a run of their own but the Trojans would bounce off the mat once more. Pleasantville cut the lead down to three in the final minute but the Trojans were unable to get over the hump. Coach Trevor Miller commented after the game that his teams effort was great during the comeback, but his team needs to find that sense of urgency earlier in the contest. In a losing effort Konner Gordon led the way with 17 points. With the loss Pleasantville falls to 5-4 overall and 3-4 in the Pride of Iowa Conference.
