Masonic services for Jay A. Fisher, age 71 of Chariton, will be held on Wednesday, January 19th at 7:00 pm at the Pierschbacher Funeral Home in Chariton. No other services or visitation is planned.

Jay is survived by his wife, Georgia “Peg” Fisher; daughter, Coral (Steve) Hall of Norman, OK; and granddaughter, Lacy (Christian) Garcia. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold & Kay Fisher. Jay and Peg moved to Chariton in 1961 when he started with the Iowa State Patrol. In 1976 he became Chief of Police in Chariton where he served until he retired in 1994.
