An unusual week for Knoxville basketball this week as the Panthers who are coming off loses to Norwalk try to put the past behind them and face Newton tonight. This is a makeup game from last Tuesday when the originally scheduled date was called off due to snow. Girls Coach Jim Utiermarkt is hoping that Friday’s frigid shooting was just a one-time thing and the girls will warm up. Boys Coach Clint Driftmier says the guys have to pick themselves back up after a tough night against Norwalk on Friday when they only could muster 17 points. He adds he challenged the team to raise the intensity level another notch. The girls game tops off at six-15 at Knoxville High School.
