Wrestling fans in Knoxville have seen the progress of the program in the nearly three seasons that Coach Eric Whitcome has been at the helm. This past Thursday the Panthers wrestled in their biggest meet in recent memory against Norwalk. While the outcome of the match was a heartbreaking loss for the Panthers, Whitcome says the crowd support was amazing and the gym was 90-percent full. He says the program is making real progress. The Panthers followed up their one-point set back to Norwalk with a third place finish at the Centerville Invitational over the weekend. The Panthers wrestle Senior Night against Newton this Thursday.
