Both Pleasantville and number one in class 1A Martensdale St. Mary’s came into Tuesday night’s game riding winnings streaks but it was the Blue Devils that extended theirs with a 64-40 over the Trojans in Pride of Iowa conference play.The Blue Devils jumped out to an early 14-4 lead after the first quarter led by post presence and division one prospect Mackenzie Morrison and her eight first half points, she finished with 16. Trailing 24-10 at the break Pleasantville came out with a concerted offensive effort in the second half spearheaded by their senior leader Konner Gordon. Gordon finished the game with a double double, 15 points and 13 boards. Even with the effort by Gordon Pleasantville would get no closer than 16 points throughout the second half. With the loss Pleasantville falls to 11-6 overall and 7-5 in the Pride of Iowa Conference.
