With around four minutes to go in the third quarter the Knoxville boys had a 20 point lead over South Tama 40-20 and were in cruise control. From that point on…the Trojans outscored Knoxville 41-15 and stunned the Panthers in overtime 61-55. It did not matter what Knoxville tried to do defensively, South Tama made the plays and shots at the perfect time to pull off the stunning comeback. Coach Clint Driftmier said South Tama never gave up even being down by 20. Jamie VanderVeer had his best game of the season with 17 points to pace Knoxville, Cory Collins chipped in ten. Knoxville is now 3-11 on the season and 1-8 in conference action. The Panthers take a trip to Grinnell on Friday.
