The Pleasantville offense boasts several high powered weapons.On Tuesday night in Martensdale the Pleasantville machine was firing on all cylinders as the Trojans routed the Blue Devils 65-44. The game earned Pleasantville a measure of revenge for a 53-52 loss they suffered at the hands of the Blue Devils before the holiday break. Leading 21-16 after the first eight minutes the Trojan defense found another gear and the offense kept clicking outscoring Martensdale St. Mary’s 18-5 in the second quarter. Leading by 18 at the halftime break Pleasantville would push the advantage as high as 25 points in the second half. Bobby Beier led the Trojan attack with 20 points, Hunter VanHaalen finished with 14 as did Jake Burgett. With the win Pleasantville gets back to .500 on the season at 8-8 overall and stand at 7-5 in the Pride of Iowa Conference.
