Since his campaign began, Secretary of State Matt Schultz has pushed for the idea of photo identification being required in order to vote. Last week Republicans in the State House agreed with Schultz and passed a bill in favor of the requirement. Now as the bills moves to the Senate many speculate that it won’t go through because of the small democratic majority. Senator Paul McKinley says he doesn’t understand why. McKinley says you have to have a photo ID to rent a movie, don’t you think you should have to have one to do one of the most sacred duties we as citizens have. He says is very much in favor of the bill and does not understand why anyone would oppose making sure whose voting are who they say they are.
