The Knoxville Chamber of Commerce has announced their monthly legislative session discussions for 2011. Chamber Office Coordinator Melinda O’Field tells KNIA/KRLS news, state Senator Paul McKinley of Chariton and state Representative Jim Van Engelenhoven of Pella will meet with area residents the first Friday afternoon of each month. The public discussions kick off this week and will continue monthly until the end of the current legislative session. All community members are invited to attend the events which will offer an opportunity to receive an update on the current legislative session and give the lawmakers a chance to hear concerns Marion County residents have. The discussions will begin at 4pm at the Knoxville Chamber of Commerce Office.
