Though the blizzard has come and gone the cold temperatures have not and here are several things residents need to remember after winter storms make their way through the area. Knoxville Police Chief Dan Losada reminds residents that it’s important to make sure all vehicle windows are cleared of snow and ice before you begin driving in order to be able to see all the way around it and it’s also crucial to clear off headlights and brake lights. In addition, Losada says it’s important to make sure you have a full tank of gas in your vehicle. With the slick and snow covered roads, gas mileage decreases and with the cold temperatures if there is only a small amount of fuel in the vehicle it may not start.
