Central College is hosting a special dinner next week as part of the international dinner series. Central’s Cultural Affairs Director Treva Reimer says the dinner will feature Pakistani cuisine, prepared by Pakistan native and faculty member Anya Butt. The dinner is also a part of the Pella Reads program currently featuring the book “Three Cups of Tea”. Reimer says the idea behind the dinners is to introduce people to other cultures through the common experience of sharing a meal. The dinner will take place February 15th at the Graham Conference Center. Butt’s menu selection includes meat and vegetable samosas, keema matter (meat with peas), alu ghobi (potatoes and cauliflower), raita (yogurt and cucumber), dhal (lentils) and kheer (rice pudding). To make a reservation, call 628-5334 or e-mail reimert@central.edu by Friday, February 11th.
