It’s back to square one for the Knoxville City Council and Brimeyer-Fursman the consulting firm who is aiding in the City Manager hiring process. After their chosen candidate declined for personal reasons, the Council requested that the consultant reexamine the original pool of 82 candidates to determine if another possibility exists as they’ve indicated an interest in someone with economic development experience.

City Manager Dick Schrad says Brimeyer-Fursman will be providing additional information this week and future action of the council is yet to be determined.
