Pleasantville routed C-M-B last night in the first round of the Class two-A boys district 73-43 heard live on AM 1320 KNIA. The Trojans broke the game open in the second quarter and held a 22 point lead. The lead would grow to as high as 34 in the third quarter. Coach Tom Wilkins said after a humbling loss to Colfax-Mingo last week, the players needed to come out and execute the game plan. Bobby Beier had the game of his season with 27 points, also chipping in double figures were Jake Burgett with 14 and Hunter Van Haalan scoring 13 points. Pleasantville clinches a winning season at 12-10, and will advance to the Class 2A district semi-finals.
